The Modway Summon armchair combines a broad, boxy woven frame with pale cushions. Canvas Antique Beige can work with warm wood, muted blue or olive accents without turning a patio into a matching furniture set. Its main trade-off is size: this is a substantial lounge-style armchair, so check the chair, nearby table and walking route together rather than judging fit from a product photo.
This review covers ASIN B0179BZH82, titled Canvas Antique Beige with the selected color displayed as Canvas Beige. On October 17, 2026, the exact Amazon page had an available offer sold and shipped by Amazon.com. Other colors, armless modules and related collection pieces are separate selections; confirm the version and current seller terms before ordering.
Listed materials and dimensions
- Frame: the listing describes powder-coated aluminum with a two-tone synthetic rattan weave. It is not natural rattan.
- Cushions: the feature bullets describe Sunbrella covers and stain, fade and water resistance. Resistance is not a guarantee against damage or a promise that the whole cushion is waterproof.
- Thickness uncertainty: the item bullets say five-inch cushions, while a manufacturer section on the same page mentions four inches. Confirm the exact supplied cushion specification rather than treating either number as settled.
- Dimensions: the bullets state 36 inches long × 39 inches wide × 26–33.5 inches high. The height range does not, by itself, establish an adjustable-height mechanism. Check a current model diagram and seat dimensions if those determine your choice.
- Feet: foot pads are listed. That does not establish that the chair levels an uneven surface.
The earlier article’s 330-pound capacity and adjustable-height explanation are not retained as verified specifications. Confirm load limits, assembly requirements and the exact dimensions in the model documentation. A broad seat and thick-looking cushion do not establish comfort for a particular person.
A calmer patio arrangement
Let the pale upholstery and woven texture do most of the styling work. Add one small outdoor side table and a single blue or olive accent instead of surrounding the chair with several competing patterns. In a pair, angle the chairs toward the conversation area while keeping the route to the door open.

For fall, muted rust can warm the beige cushions without needing a large seasonal display. Use decorative textiles only where their own care instructions and the location suit them; put them away when conditions require it. A modest tray or lantern-style accent on a nearby table can carry the seasonal color while leaving the seat available to use.
If you prefer a lighter blue-and-cream palette, our coastal styling guide without a beach theme offers color and texture ideas. It is indoor inspiration, not a recommendation to move its indoor products outside.
Weather resistance still involves care
Powder coating, synthetic weave and resistant fabric are material features, not proof that the chair can be ignored through every climate or left uncovered indefinitely. The old article’s promises of no fading or degradation and worry-free year-round exposure are removed. Follow the chair and cushion labels for cleaning, drying, covering and seasonal storage.
The listing describes the fabric cover as machine washable. Do not extend that statement to the foam insert, an assembled cushion or an arbitrary wash temperature. Confirm cover-removal and washing directions for the supplied item. Check how you will store cushions or protect the furniture when it is not in use before choosing the chair for an exposed location.
